i used to be the image of innocence
one day i looked into the mirror and saw
the path of least resistance
i used to have contained curiosity
one day i found myself begging to be
things i should never have seen

and now, look at me
close to sad and alone
close to down on my luck,
wishing just to be home
but i know where to go
and i know the right way
so i'll take it,
i'll change today.
